Multi lap driving is not time trial, time trial is doing a full lap (one lap) as fastest as possible. So no Multilap is also time trial but on longer distance and could show consistency. Maybe I was not fully understood. I would like an option where you select number of laps to be raced in time trial mode, then the game will record time for this specific number of laps and save the best ghost file. Allow multilap time trial.
Instead of just best lap time trial allow freely selected number of laps to be raced in time trial mode: 3, 4, 10, 50... whatever.
10 best trial times should be recorded together with best ghost.

How do you assess if the car is balanced? If speed is not the reference then what? So Cougar is balanced because having higher speed than toyeca has worse acceleration?

It could be for frontend as well. I use tvtime option and F6 currently in game. However thought of using dedicated key to do it automatically with rotation speed adjustment and possibly distance to the car adjustment.

As a reminder stock cars including Dreamcast have speeds as follows:
Rookie: 29.7 - 32.8 mph,
Amateur: 30.9 - 35.1 mph,
Advanced: 33.6 - 37.2 mph,
Semi-Pro: 36.0 - 41.4 mph,
Pro: 38.8 - 43.3 mph

In Championship mode we have possibility to skip race continuation and avoid waiting for other CPU cars to finish their race. We still get results as if all finished normally. You can only put the selected cars to the cars folder and its a really funky way I guess. Yes, it's obvious that if you have more cars available for selection there won't be repetitions.
