The P is also on crane and dozer in the toylands.
Perhaps it stands for "play" ?

Re: Suggestions
My idea would be a track screen for reversed (R) mode, which is in the ../gfx folder.
Now it's only the gfx upside down.
This could be saved in the ../custom/reversed folder.
Then you could save it 180° and get a proper view from the reversed start position.

Re: Per-car custom treadmarks
Funny idea I would support !
I just tried out to manipulate ..\cars\misc\shadow.bmp (bmq).
It's not easy because skid marks are a bunch of vertical lines which in game appear by different lengths.
But first results were not too bad.

Re: What tool do you use to fix this problem (REPAINT)
The wheels in Re-Volt are sometimes very special. Tire and rim are separate parts to save any single polygone in the past times, as John assumes. https://iili.io/HO96BON.jpg In the picture is shown where every part gets its paint from. Re: How to position a car's wheels and how do you paint it?
In the parameters.txt file in the section of all 4 wheels you can find the line " radius " which has to be changed (the collision definition of the car body is the hull.hul file, but for the wheels it's the number of the radius). And you have to change the position of the wheels because yo...
