Should something similar happen to someone else, I'd suggest to do a file search on your computer system. In the case of the start countdown, you are looking for "countdown.wav", which you would then find in multiple locations. Don't forget to search for hidden folders as well.

Mixing Wireless + LAN / Win 8 + Win 10 should work. Maybe the Windows Firewall is blocking the way as well. Did you open a port on your router? Moon Dawn comes to mind, with a low-gravity gate. Any car above 4 kg needs a significant amount of slowing down to get floaty fast enough to reach the end of the gate.

Ranch has a noticeably higher disconnect rate. Say, have you ever stopped your car to observe a tumbleweed at Ghost Town? Can confirm that. I think it happens very regularly when someone disconnects. Messes up the sound experience, which is worth quite something in tight battles in RVGL. Having an engine sound out of nowhere can destroy the immersion somewhat.

Playing on a Pentium D machine here from 2007. Even weaker is the Intel Atom from 2010 in a tiny netbook. So your computers have to be strong enough for RVGL.
