There was no issue, but the quality of the RNG could have suffered because it was re-seeded before every multiplayer race and the seed used was a weak one. This happens in P2P because the kicked player still maintains a connection with other clients. I'll have to see if it can be handled better...

A lot of things were simplified / streamlined to conserve bandwidth when rewriting the netcode for RVGL. Now, players only communicate this information with the host.

From the report, it seems to crash at track loading or frontend loading. Make sure you have the game assets installed properly. Also post the log from RVGL/profiles/re-volt_log.txt.

The problem only affects the legacy renderer. The recommended solution is to enable shaders.
In fact, it was already reported and answered before (see #173).

I just had to delete 71 posts :grimacing: from two spam accounts, apparently with Ukraine based IPs. (#1553 and #1554)

In handling spam accounts, I only ban the accounts themselves. Perhaps it's a good idea to ban the IP too if IP Lookup shows it's a Static IP? :thonking:

Does that help?

You can also find a log file generated at profiles\re-volt.log. I'd like you to post the contents of the file as it would help understand this issue better.

We discovered a bug in properties.txt parsing that affects boolean values . Setting a key to false currently has no effect (i.e., if the default material / spark has that property enabled, it continues to be enabled). It's fixed now and I didn't notice any apparent changes when racing Spa-Volt track...

The problem is with the track itself. The world polys map to texture page 24 (in the original versions and v1.2, this used to be the ENVSTILL texture ID). It was a trick to be able to use 11 world textures - by setting ENVSTILL to "trailerparkk.bmp" and mapping polys to texture page 24, yo...
