Re: Object Throwers
This also means, if 2 players are in front with a 10m gap such situation could happen: Player A activate the trigger and will be hit by a basketball. But for Player B who is slightly behind it will look like player A was hit "by nothing", and Player B eventually will be hit by the same ba...

Re: Object Throwers
Too bad 3dSounds can't be thrown, because this means I can add rain, but no rain sound. Unless we can find a way to specify flags for the thrown object, it can't be done unfortunately. Additonal question: Is the rain visible for all players in a multiplayer race? Let's see... an object thrower is t...

Re: (Collision + Wireframe + Car bbox) + restart = crash
Good find. It's the combination of collision + wireframe that causes it to crash. The problem is that world and instance drawing are disabled when viewing collision, but certain things are initialized when drawing world that's used in other parts of the code (in this case, for wireframe render), so ...

Re: Object Throwers
In the 19.1230a RVGL release it's possible to trigger custom Animations at a specific lap, by using the Flag High configuration. Flag high: Trigger in lap (0 = any lap, -1 = last lap, n = nth lap) It would be nice, if this could be also done for Object thrower triggers. This is a good idea and it c...

Re: RV House News
The problem appears to be that the Qt4 libs included are too new for your system. If available, get the libqtgui4 and libqtcore4 (i386) packages for your distro and delete the libQtXXX files from your rv_house/lib folder.

What you're referring to as the stat box happens to be the radar. It show players in front of / behind you. Hence Bob's view can only show Alice and Alice's view, Bob.

It's part of the default game content. Did you download the game afresh from Re-Volt I/O?
I'm moving this to Help & Troubleshooting since it has nothing to do with RVGL.

Re: Custom Track Properties: Velocity
We recently discovered that there's actually an issue that breaks moving surfaces customization in current versions. The values from properties.txt are not even read / used properly (this only affects materials with "Moves" = "true"). It should be fixed in the next release.

Re: Random Tracks pool includes stock tracks even if they aren't in the levels directory
Fixed, thanks for the report.
A possible workaround in current versions: scroll through all stock tracks such that the "Locked" is displayed on each of them. Then go back and turn on random tracks option. I believe this should cause the missing stock tracks to no longer be selected.

Re: [RVGL 19.1001a] Visibox edit mode broken
Visiboxes are no longer updated per frame - this was an intentional change in 19.0907 (affects both shader and legacy renderer): - Editor: Visimasks are no longer updated per-frame in Visiboxes edit mode. They are updated when saving the file. This should improve performance. The reason was that upd...

Re: Car whitelist for server hosts
After some thought I came to an idea to implement this, if this should ever be implemented. I'm in favor of something like this. The host could launch the game with a -carlist parameter pointing to a carlist file, and only those cars would be selectable by players. Eg, ./rvgl -carlist io_prugs # lo...

Re: Global Star Issue
Does the track in question have multiple global stars by any chance? In this case, the game removes one star at random every time the star capture message is broadcasted. There is no attempt to identify which star was captured. So the behavior is broken in this case. I'll see what can be done to imp...

This is a planned feature, but it's tricky because I'm not sure there is a reliable way to uniquely identify controllers. Anyway, it's something that needs to be explored.

Re: [RVGL] Camera issues since 19.0819 update
I've attempted a different fix, where the switch from "racing" to "stationary" mode is not abrupt but happens gradually based on the car speed. A speed above 5mph switches completely to "racing" behavior. What do you think about this? rvgl_19.1008a_test_win32.7z rvgl_19...

Re: [RVGL] Replays not using ALT parameters.txt for same car files
Cars are identified by their display name rather than their folder name. This means you need to give each car a unique name to prevent such conflicts. Having cars identified by their folder name, just like tracks, is a planned improvement in RVGL, but there are reasons why it can't be done already. ...

I think that none of the two issues/features above take place in the 19.1004 version, but it brings back a medium-sized jittering: Yes, unfortunately. :/ Maybe it's the best thing to achieve. Or maybe there is a workaround possibility to force the camera to stop jittering (=trying to improve it's p...

In situations like these, when a hotfix is needed on the same day, we simply overwrite the original release. Re: [RVGL] Camera issues since 19.0819 update
To be clear, the fix for high fps involves scaling the camera movement (after collision impact), based on the frame rate. When scaled along all 3 axes it induces the ugly jitter. If we want to fix the "low camera" bug, it's enough to scale the Y axis. In this case, the "different came...
