Re: School's Out! - WIP Track
In theory, it would be possible to have the leaves move around, both the actual leaves and their shadows (custom model animation + texture animation). That might end up being a monumental effort if done manually though, so I'd only leave that for a future update when we've got a way to automate it. ...

Register the account on Re-Volt Zone. If you already have one, just log in to RV House with those credentials.

Re: RV House News
Tried running the latest version of RV House on Linux with the ./rv_house command: ./rv_house.32: error while loading shared libraries: libSM.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Took a little to figure it out. Already had libsm6, but it seems like I needed libsm6:i386. 32...

There are two, as a matter of fact.
I can understand not liking the first one, but Skarma's conversion looks quite alright to me.

Re: The rv.gl domain
The file size limitation on RVZ is indeed pretty troublesome, and, as time goes on, it's likely it will become more and more necessary to increase it. It would be ideal to not have it filled up with "lite" editions of tracks, as we do with Ranch right now. As for the search, I think the be...

Re: The rv.gl domain
The domain has just been successfully transferred to my name! I should now be more able to accept any requests for rv.gl hostnames, but since we don't have a system in place for it yet, I'll have to do it manually: If you have a static IP , and you know it won't change for the foreseeable future (at...

This theme is now the default one. If you'd like to switch to the old one, go here and select "ORP Legacy".

Re: The rv.gl domain
I did consider posting the PayPal link here, but I didn't want to receive more than it was needed (which happened nonetheless with the half a dozen people who contacted me due to some unexpectedly generous donations). There were also some minor, if not unfounded privacy concerns with posting the lin...

Re: The rv.gl domain
Ah, sorry. I couldn't tell from your message whether you were interested in donating. If still you are, I can send you the link, since we're just 10 euro shy from covering next year's payment as well. However, I can also take care of that amount myself (think of it as my own donation), hence why I'd...

Re: The rv.gl domain
I would like to give my thanks to everyone who donated: we've well surpassed the goal and have nearly enough to cover next year's payment as well! Feel free to get in touch with me if you'd still like to contribute, but I would advise donating to RVIO or RVZ instead, as those are definitely more imp...

The rv.gl domain
Next month, the rv.gl domain will expire. This domain was bought by Kiwi 1-2 years ago and we have been using it since then to create convenient hostnames for people (for instance, players could memorize and connect to "u.rv.gl" when joining my sessions, instead of having to copy-paste my ...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes
Hey there, sorry for the silence. I'll prepare a proper response to the discussion above later this week, and the survey will end on Sunday.
Edit: I had to prioritize a few other matters this weekend, sorry for that. I should be able to get around to it this week if nothing else comes up.

Re: Car whitelist for server hosts
We already do this in a sorta hacky way ( prebuilt folders version ). You won't be able to tell at the car selection screen which cars you can choose, but if you see yourself donning a CHT tag in the lobby, then that car is not allowed (unless something else is triggering the CHT tag, such as dev mo...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes
Yeah. In the past, we had Rookies and Pros, which matched the in-game ratings, alongside Slugs and Pro Slugs, which were both a mixture of Amateur, Advanced and Semi-Pro cars. This eventually changed when I renamed Pro Slugs to Semi-Pros and later split the Slugs class into Amateur and Advanced—but ...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes
I actually proposed this very same idea with creating a third-party launcher which, upon joining an I/O event, it would reorganize the cars folder to only include the cars that the player is actually allowed to use. Unfortunately, while I intend to develop that launcher either way, it seems like it ...

Renaming the I/O Car Classes
Recently, it has been brought up that there is a lot of confusion regarding our custom car classes , and the main reason behind that is because they do not match the in-game car ratings. For instance: in-game, Phenom is part of the Rookie rating, whereas on our website it is listed in the Advanced c...

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.0907a
Although officially the team is much bigger, at the moment I believe it is only me and Mushy maintaining the website (and Mushy merely has the task to list events for now). I've been planning to throw information about all the I/O pack updates together once I'm done preparing a bigger update, since ...

If, nonetheless, you wish to tackle Humma, check out this video:

Even if you don't, some of these tips can be applied to many other cars. Tapping while steering was one of the most valuable lessons I learned when I first watched this.

Re: custom ball bearing texture
Good catch. I tested it out earlier on Windows, so it worked fine on my end. Might be good to open up a topic on this in Suggestions later. Any idea if this also happens with the MP3 or MUSIC lines? I know that capitalization never really mattered in car parameters, just in the actual filenames them...

Yes, I did mean I tested ENVROLL as well. I took the one from SS Route Re-Volt, which was easy to spot the difference with, and it worked just fine.
