Car names at results screen?

What about adding the car names also to the results screen, and have it not only in the lobby overview and sessionlog file? As well the fastet lap could be displayed (and added to the sessionlog file as well, which is not the case at the moment). Here a bad photoshopped example. Don‘t mind the wrong...

Re: [RVGL] POS Nodes invisible

I solved it, by using an older RVGL version for doing the POS nodes. However, this is an annoying bug, and needs to be fixed for sure.

[SOLVED] [RVGL-MIG] Problem using mirrors together with waterboxes

Hello RVGL-team, I found out, that as soon water/fog boxes will be placed in a level, no mirror surfaces can be used, because graphic glitches appears. How I tested it: 1) Created a portal by using the makeitgood "Erm, nothing to see here"-mode, where the mirrored surface should appear. 2)...

Re: Track making: Performance optimization

Thanks a lot Marv, there are a lot of usefull hints in your answer. I've found a very usefull documentation from a swedish university, regarding performance optimization in 3d games. It's based on the Unreal engine, but most of the topics are also applicable for other 3d engines: https://www.diva-po...

[SOLVED] [RVGL-Shader] Translucent faces issue

Hello RVGL-developers, I'm experiencing issues with translucent faces in the shader-version of RVGL. I have big windows in my level. This window-faces have the "translucent" checkbox enabled, and have an alpha-transparency value set. (I think 50% gray). Outside the window I also have some ...

Re: Should I go back to converting cars

Toca3? You mean Toca Race Driver, from 2003? The series titles wasn't named after numbers, after the second part. Or to be more detailed, they has a messed up numbering: TOCA, TOCA2, TOCA Race Driver, TOCA Race Driver 2, TOCA Race Driver 3. And wasn't the series named "V8 Supercars Racedriver&q...

Re: Spa-Volt Diary

I didn't worked much on Spa-Volt in the last time, because I was on a sailing-trip in Croatia for one week, and worked a lot in my garden. But in the last week there was some rainy days, and I spent some hours working on the restaurant area. Or more correct: The sitting-area outside of the restauran...

Re: [Blender Plugin] Polygon limit error

Interesting, I haven't divided my world into parts. RVGL won't crash, while loading. But maybe there is an overlap: I tidied up a bit, and deleted a lot of polygons in the last time. So I am maybe below the 32767 polygon limit at the moment. In the future, I will do it exactly the way you described,...

Marv, I didn't experienced this issue at all, while working with Blender and your addon (since end of last year). I very often use the functions you described. (CTRL + Z, Switching between Edit- and Object Mode with TAB). I am using Windows 10, the newest Blender version, and the newest version of y...

Re: Santorini

I am also (still) not 100% sure if this flowers are fitting the theme very well. Greece is a very dry country, maybe the flowers are a bit to colorful, to big, and still to static positioned. Maybe it's a place where some watering will be done, but the flowers feel like a "foreign body (?)"...

Water ripples

Hi guys, can I get the water ripples effect on faces, without placing the water ripples object in makeitgood objects mode, or are this effects hardcoded? Some weeks ago I switched from custom water surfaces ( .m ) to water surfaces directly placed in Blender, and now I decided that I want this effec...

Track making: Performance optimization

Hello Re-Volt track makers, Hello technic-interested Re-Volters, as most of you know, I am doing my first map in Re-Volt (Spa-Volt) at the moment. It is a very ambitious map with a lot of details. At the moment, Spa-Volt has about 30.000 faces in Blender, and with the "normal" RVGL-version...

Re: Santorini

Hmm, I‘m also not completly sure about the flower field. Two suggestions: Try to arange the flowers a little bit more random. On some places put more flowers per inch, on some places put no flowers at all. Don‘t know how this would look in the end, but at the moment it looks to „straight“, and not v...

Re: [Blender Plugin] No collision NCP export

I am not 100% sure (I am not in front of my PC so I can test), but I think both (the No Collision -checkbox and the material NONE ) has to be set. However, in my opinion, it would be more user-friendly, when the No Collison is enough to ignore the faces on export. For Non-Re-Volt-Editing-Pros it's t...

[Blender Plugin] No collision NCP export

Hello Marv, I have a suggestion for the Blender plugin: When exporting the .ncp -file, both the checkmarks at No Collision , as well the material has to be set to NONE . Otherwise, the face will still allow collisions. It would be better, if only the checkmark at No Collision has to be set? Example:...

Awesome work, Alex. The track looked super before, but this shadows put it to another level. It looks very realistic. I also love the blue parts on the second screenshot. Your screenshots show, how important shading is. Sadly some classic level doesn‘t have shading at all. Do you have placed the sha...

Re: RE-VOLT: which plays better, a keyboard or a gamepad?

I also use a gamepad for Re-Volt since 1999. Tapping is also possible and I do it all the time. I am using the D-Pad for steering, not the analog stick.

Some years I used the classic Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad, and after this I buyed a XBox 360 Wirless gamepad.

Re: Santorini

Hi Alex, the raceline looks perfect for me - I watched 3 times now, but I have no major concerns about it. The parts you spoke about (narrow path, and straight too long) seems fine to me and give the track some diversity. I like this one jump, and also the last few corners upwards before the end. :)...
