Summary

Event Description
To enter the competition, participants create one car. After submitting it, it can no longer be changed. The car has to be used on both event days.

The races are going to take place on two days. The first day will be focused on race/on-road tracks while the second day will consist of races on off-road and more difficult/extreme tracks.

Rules:

• The submission of the car is final. You will not be able to update it after that.
• You may not modify any tracks or trigger the cheat system in general. Autokick is going to be enabled.
• You are not allowed to show your car creation to anyone else before the races. You will be executed.
• Do not include a carbox.

Stream:
The event is going to be streamed on Twitch and perhaps on YouTube as well. If you want to join the stream voice call, please contact me before the event.

Submission:
Submit your car by sending a compressed archive of the car to Marv on Discord. Also tell me which name you're going to use in the races. Please use the same name on both days because I'll log the session results.
ALL FILE NAMES NEED TO BE LOWERCASE .
Do not include a carbox. Some people might not want to see the car before the first races.
The submission deadline is 10th of March, 11 UTC.

Date:
We'll be running a poll to find out a date which suits most people. The poll will run one week starting from the post date.
I prematurely closed the poll so we decided to host the even on the 10th and 11th of March, starting at 14 UTC

Tracks:

We're going to race on 5 laps each.

I'm going to download the tracks from RVZ.
If they're included in the I/O pack, I'll use it from there.
Except for Holiday Camp, we're going to race on the version with water.

I will renamed all file names to lowercase to make life easier for us penguin people.

A track pack will be uploaded today which includes the ranch. To make yourself familiar with the track, ask me to send you a link to the video and/or the zip of the test version. It's a bit hard but you can figure it out easily after having raced it once or twice.

Wow, that's an early track list release!
The event is quite short from now, though... I wonder if I can think of something to use before that, and execute it. Although I have got a fairly easy idea.

Ah, we've settled on a time. I'll miss it, then. A friend invited me to his birthday celebration, and that's got priority.

Aw, I think there are only two tracks in there I haven't got yet. I liked how in All's Fair II, there were a lot of tracks I hadn't ever seen before.

Event preparation:

This is what I recommend doing to prevent issues:

1. Download the track pack (link on Discord).

2. Download the car pack (link on Discord).

3. Download a fresh full installation of RVGL from https://re-volt.io/downloads (includes the latest version 18.0310a).

4. Extract everything to a new RVGL installation called AFIV (or whatever you like).

5. Optional but recommended for day 2: Apply the shader build since it's "needed" for the Ranch (otherwise you get some graphical glitches). It works fine for me, I don't know about you.

6. If you want to join the voice call, please tell me early enough. I'll be there and drag you in. Please mind that it will be streamed on Twitch and later uploaded to YouTube.

7. Join the IP announced on Discord (Multiplayer -> Join Game -> CTRL V)

Rules and Guidelines during the races:

• If you disconnected from the lobby, please tell me so on Discord via PM. I'll then announce that we're going to restart the race.
• Do not shout during the voice call. Do not rage and do not insult me, you'll be kicked from the call.
