Replay files rarely show weapons fired properly

Unread post by ZipperZbieracz » Thu Apr 09, 2020 3:20 pm

As in the title. I wonder whether it would be possible if the replay files would show the fired weapons properly, because right now most of fired weapons are not seen in the replay, so that the car ahead suddenly spins due to a rocket hit, or cars stopping suddenly when actually there was a star fired, or car frying into the air but he drove through a clone. It would be cool to see weapons fired, but I understand that this might be limited by the maximum file size.

just as an example: https://streamable.com/ise5x0

Rocket shows no mark, yet it went past him in this video... clearly not how it played out in the race.

Note: Sting's video was recorded from my own saved replay, and I was obviously hit on my end when it happened live (I mean, I flew across the whole jump section).

Another example from a day ago: https://streamable.com/9l0it4

I could definitely feel DVark's water balloon hit me. I was the host as well in this one. And it was my own saved replay.
