Ive got 2 ideas for new car classes, this would mainly impact what cars the AI chooses in single player and what cars players other than hot can use in multiplayer. Could also be treated as separate game modes (like clockwork carnage) if the game's code allows it-this would probably make it easier to implement for multiplayer.
Micro class: Basically an expansion of clockwork carnage. 1:18 scale electric/nitro cars using the 30 car grid from clockwork carnage. Could also have its own custom cup.
Spec class: AI wont pick this car unless you do, in which case all cars on the grid will be identical. Cars in this class dont need to be balanced against other cars because they are never matched against other cars. Real world examples: tamya mini, Tamya F1, Tamya big rig.

Edited: Special class wouldbe the option [same car for all players] from WolfR4. Did it get put into V1.2?

Not sure, I haven't actually played RV in years (cant get it to run yet) but I dont remember any new classes in 1.2, just that JOKER cheat.
