Probably a very nub question, but:
I don't seem able to install the recommended packages libwebp6 or libfluidsynth1 on my distro (pop_OS!). I have installed libfluidsynth3, I don't know if that helps or not. But the game somehow seems to run absolutely fine without those packages as far as I can tell.
But I was wondering; will this cause me any problems if I were to, for example, try to play online with others that *do* have those packages installed?

Re: unable to install libwebp6/libfluidsynth1
Fluidsynth is for midi audio file support (not used in 99.99% game installs).
libwebp is .webp image format library. Custom content creators don't really use it either, as far as I know.
Thus it should be fine compatibility-wise for the most part, but if you see missing textures, then there's a potential reason for it.

Cool, thanks- sounds like I should be fine then. I've seen no missing textures, as yet.
Re: unable to install libwebp6/libfluidsynth1
libfluidsynth3 is also supported for distros that provide that version, so it should be fine. As for webp, the exact version of webp required depends on the version of the SDL2_image library, and since both are provided by the distro, they both tend to satisfy each other. So just get the version of libwebp available (or check the dependency list for your SDL2_image package).
