Sounds like files were not installed correctly. I assume you trying to install RVGL patch: https://rvgl.org/ Game data (folders - cars, gfx, levels, models, strings, wavs...) need to be in the same directory as game executable. Nice catch, I've tested how it reacts if it does have a reversed version by copying needed files, and apparently the game uses the needed values for reversed. The problem appears from interpreting the third axis number (which should be plain 0), however the newer game versions take the first STARTPO...

TL;DR: Not impossible. The current implementation is the quickest and less risky in breaking the game.
With time and source code you could do almost anything, it's all about feature set priorities and whether it's worth spending more time on more difficult implementation and then debugging it.

I'm fairly sure devs would have used the same (similar at least) UI track select layout as in frontend, but likely due to memory allocation (for loading track gfx) they probably went for the quickest implementation. Texture load slots are different in frontend "level" from any race track. ...

Rooftops was the most needed one due to PVR texture compression artifacts in the dreamcast version. Although the moon texture itself is blocky, so there's not a whole lot to workaround that. Good job with others nonetheless.

Should be no issues at all. Make sure you have copied and replaced all libraries (DLLs) and other contents from the x64 version patch.
