A comparison between the demo version (installed from the demo disc of "PC Gaming World" magazine) and the full version.
I have these three points that changed my interest a bit:
- In the demo version, iirc, there was only 1 difficulty mode, it was probably Arcade or Console.
Does anyone know which one?
When I started the full version, it was in RC Junior mode originally. I thought the developers had slowed down the pace!
Such a turn off... Only to find out that the community has been used to even faster pace, as in the Super Pros.
- In the demo version there was a soundtrack that I fell in love with, which was removed from the soundtrack of the full version. I fell in love with the full soundtrack as well. But I felt like something was missing. Only to find out that the community had preserved the nhood.mp3 in the re-volt.io website. Although there is a glitch in that version, which I have repaired using pro sound engineering tools. You can get the version from me and I encourage you to upload it to the I/O webpage as well.
- In the demo version the DirectX support, that came with the game, was better. Thus I had problems in getting the pitch black textures to show as invisible in the full version. Somehow I managed to install the demo version's DirectX (can't remember how I solved that eventually) or maybe a newer version of the DirectX and eventually I got the graphics working. This has later been improved with the RVGL's Shader technique. Thanks a lot!
